Congaree Riverkeeper safeguards three of the Midlands’ rivers. For over a decade, we’ve worked to keep these rivers clean and pristine for future generations.

90 miles of rivers.

We keep watch over the Broad, Lower Saluda and Congaree Rivers. Our jurisdiction includes 27 miles of the Broad below Parr Reservoir, 11 miles of the Lower Saluda below the Lake Murray Dam and the entire 53 mile stretch of the Congaree from Columbia to the Wateree River.

We keep watch over the Broad, Lower Saluda and Congaree Rivers, Our jurisdiction starts on the Broad at the Parr Reservoir, continues onto the Saluda 30 miles downstream, and ends 50 miles down the Congaree – from Columbia to the Wateree River.
