January Water Quality Report | 2020

On January 28th and 29th we conducted our first round of water quality sampling of 2020. Only one sample, Rocky Branch, was above the standard for contact recreation of 349 per 100 ml. 

Interestingly, while a sewer spill was reported near Stoops Creek on January 29th, our sample from the day before was still below the standard. This could be a result of timing, location, or it could be influenced by the upstream discharge of treated wastewater from the Alpine wastewater treatment plant.
