March Water Quality Report | 2020

On March 30th and 31st we conducted our regular water quality sampling at river and stream sites across the Midlands. Three samples (Gills Creek, Smith Branch, and Stoops Creek) exceeded the e. coli standard for contact recreation of 349 per 100 ml.
All three sites that had exceedences are urban streams, and the slightly elevated bacteria levels may be related to rainfall/stormwater runoff from the previous week.
